Wall will be crawling with excitement for the second annual Wall Crawl event on Saturday, August 4th. This all-day event features a poker run, show and shine car and motorcycle show, whole hog roast and two live concert performances.
Wall community members gathered to celebrate the 111th Annual Wall Celebration, July 12 - 14. The three-day event consisted of activities for both youth and adults including: three nights of rodeo performances, kid’s bean bag tournament, entertainment by local band The Terks, Relay of Life 5k run, a parade, a stick horse rodeo, face painting, bouncy houses, a mechanical bull, an ice cream social, an adult bean bag tournament, an all-school alumni program and entertainment by Chancy Williams and the Younger Brothers Band.
South Dakota Tourism was the proud official state sponsor of the 2018 Midwest Living Road Rally! The rally took place May 7-10 in the Badlands and Black Hills areas with the theme “Chasing Legends on the Trail of Monuments and Memorials.” Editors from Midwest Living partnered with South Dakota Tourism to create an itinerary covering the best attractions of the area.
The Customer Service Training, “Taking Customer Service from Average to Extraordinary” was held on Tuesday, June 26, for members of the Wall-Badlands Area Chamber of Commerce. The customer service training, led by SDSU Extension Community Vitality Field Specialist Peggy Schlechter, focused on teamwork, consistency, personal service and attitude in the workplace.
Due to the remodel project of the Wall Community Center and an active fall sports schedule, Wall-Badlands Area Chamber board members decided NOT to hold a 2017 annual meeting.
